Spam Imam: Marriage is Like Multiple Choice

Every month, Spam Imam uses his vast knowledge to tackle the issues that affect you the most

I went to this party, and the ladies started talking about marriage. Do I:

a. begin to self advertise myself for the aunties cute daughter
b. run away fearing for my single life
c. walk away slowly and pretend like I am not even here ‘accidently’ bumping into her

A or B are both acceptable responses to the situation you have described. Only take option ‘a’ if the “auntie” in question adheres strictly to hijab and her visage is thoroughly obstructed by layers of thick clothing. Option ‘b’ is also viable. However, a display of you athletic prowess by running may prove to be of interest to any ladies that may be present. Therefore, if you choose this course of action, a brisk walk may be more prudent.

Thank you Spam Imam. Option B has always been the one that has worked best for me. And as you correctly point out, a brisk walk is the best way to avoid such disasterous situations.
