Lecture by the mind behind THE 99: The creator of the THE 99 comic book series, Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa will be speaking in Calgary about his comic, which has received international acclaim. In “THE 99,” Naif ‘s new generation of comic book heroes reinforce positive messages of Islam and cross cultures to create a new moral framework for confronting evil, even teaming up with the Justice League of America.Dr. Naif al-Mutawa has received the attention of DC comics, with whom a crossover with Batman and Superman is planned, as well as of President Barack Obama, who mentioned Naif al-Mutawa and his comic book as an innovating force in East-West dialogue.
