We do this through Online Media (Western Muslim Magazine & Speak Free Podcast), Events with leading experts and Local Community Development that enhances community leadership and participation through Western Muslim Chapters and local community projects.

Certain things have happened which have caused me to question my husband’s…orientation. I saw him looking at pictures of Johnny Depp but as soon as I caught him he switched the window to the DailyHadith.com. Then there was that time that he called me Jim even though my name doesn’t sound anything like that…it’s Aisha. Sometimes he goes out with his male friends but he spends too long getting ready and I think he’s been using my foundation. Should I be worried?

I have never been one to swoon over the latest style of jeans or bags. In fact, I am still not 100% sold on the skinny jean craze. Until about a month ago, I did not even know what my waist or leg size was, and five minutes crouched down next to those inconvenient cubbyholes that house jeans at the Gap sent me straight into an inner monologue about the evils of capitalism. Not to mention years of schooling and work that forced me to sit at a desk, were not kind on my knees, so a cat like hunting position to sift through hundreds of jeans is down right frustrating. Deep down inside I still think the fashion industry is a patriarchal plot to subjugate women.
